Our Debut EP “Exodus of the Eldest” will digitally drop sometime in the next 2-4 weeks. I’m pretty sure you can buy it all over the globe, if you have a computer. Look for another post when it actually is available.

In other news, next week is a rock rock week for us. I will be drumming with the disco-dance-pop outfit Sputnik Sweetheart at the Delancey on Saturday. Come out and say hi, throw tomatoes, or shake whatever “thang” you might have.

The following Wednesday, November 5th,  you can catch the aldenbarton on the same stage at the same Delancey. We’ll be on at 9pm, and I think the cover is $8.  Expect to hear some brand new material!

The next day, I’ll be at the abismal Terminal 5 club, shouting, drinking(as long as they don’t find my flask), and pointing my finger at the goddamned Hold Steady, and some band I’ve never heard of called the Drive By Truckers.  Hooray!

I’m checking out the Looking Glass Studios downtown tomorrow, and i’m pretty excited about it. When I push aside the feelings of never being able to afford such a studio, I’m nearly wetting myself thinking of all the great music that’s been made down there. If I’m not mistaken, it’s owned (at least in part) by Phillip Glass, and David Bowie, and I’ve been told that Roger Waters has been in there this week.  It’s the first of what I’m sure will be many studio tours I’ll be taking, whilst deciding (read: pricing) where to record our first full length, which we’ve all but finished writing.

Finally, a noteable piece of information: I got a call from Jason Anderson this morning, and it’s looking like aldenbarton will be making a pilgrimage to upstate NY to track a new record with him in the new year as “the 57th St. Band” If you haven’t heard him, you are most definitely missing out. He preaches the rock and roll, and he’s nothing if he’s not all heart! I recommend the album “Tonight” for a fair representation of what it’s like to hear him live.

The first being at Pianos, on Ludlow St. between Stanton and Rivington, with a band I’m really psyched to play with. If you don’t know Steve Shiffman and the Land of NO, please check them out. I’m really enthusiastic about their music, and we’re really looking forward to playing with them. It all jumps off this coming Tuesday, October 14th at 9pm. We’ll be on at 10pm. I know it’s a school night, but how are you really going to sleep knowing you are too old and too tired for a 9:00 show? If Hall and Oates were in town, you’d probably stay up with them, so take a sick day WEDNESDAY and come hang out with us TUESDAY.

We have accomplished so much this year. Our debut EP “Exodus of the Eldest” is mastered and awaiting final artwork for digital release in the very near future. 6 songs, and just over 32 minutes of rock music that is best when played to, and with friends. We bought a van. We named the van “The White Lion”. I put a picture of the van up here.The White Lion I’ve slept in the van. It’s a good van. Chevrolet. Chevrolet Tiara. The Heartbeat of America.
